Good place to take ur Toyota/Lexus/scion to be worked on.. Friendly and honest staff that lets u know what's actually wrong with ur car! One of the best shops around and reasonably prices as well..

Like the other reviews stated, they specialize in Toyota/Scion/Lexus.  I've only ever had my oil changed, but my husband has mad minor work done that he didn't have time to do himself.  They do a fine job and we're very pleased, BUT I do think they are like other automotive shops that might recommend work that isn't necessary.  For example, they told me one of the belts was worn (and a couple of other things) when actually it is fairly new.  But they're not at all pushy and are very nice.  
THE BEST PART: The little box of candies and thank you note they leave in your car.  It's so thoughtful!

If you own a Toyota, Lexus or Scion and live in the Lexington Metro area, you should be taking it to Lowell's.  Their service is reasonably priced, and thorough.  They will pick you up or take you to work while your car is in the shop and you get to ride in one of the prime examples of their work quality, an late 80s, or early 90s Toyota Previa van in great condition!  There is a definite reason Lowell's has been named Best Mechanic in Lexington some 10 times in a variety of polls.
